How It All Began
In 1994, in Gandhidham, Kutch, the Champalal Group saw an opportunity hiding in plain sight.
India had one of the richest natural salt belts in the world. But the salt reaching Indian homes was far from what families deserved in terms of purity, nutrition, and quality. Ankur Chemfood Limited was started to fix exactly that.
We set up on the coast of Gujarat, steps away from India's most productive marine salt region and within reach of two of the country's biggest ports. From day one, we chose to do things properly. Swiss technology. Automated machinery. Triple refinement. No shortcuts.

1994 · Founded, Champalal Group
Ankur Chemfood Limited begins operations in Gandhidham, Gujarat. Manufacturing starts using fully automated Swiss technology, making us one of the most advanced salt producers in India from the very beginning.
